Well, it’s almost September, and that means another year of Kinship is up ahead!  I’m really looking forward to this year, and I feel like I’ve learned a lot from last year.  Some of the stuff I tried worked.  Some (well, maybe a lot) of the stuff didn’t work, or didn’t work like I wanted to.  But most of all, I think I’m looking forward to getting back into a regular Bible study pattern.  While the hiatus was good for my wife and I, for me it was a little too long and I got into some bad habits with my study time.  Kinship has always been a good accountability tool for myself, so I’m hoping I can use this time to get back into some good habits, and then not break those habits when we go into hiatus again.

Another thing I’m looking forward to is starting up our study on “The Ever Loving Truth” by Voddie Baucham. This has really helped me in talking with other people about religion, as well as getting me over my shyness around the topic.  Can’t wait for the final 5 lessons or so!
