Dear World,
For too long I have put too much of my faith in you. I’ve recognized this as a trend that must end. It has become clear to me that the people who belong to you do not have my best interests at heart. I know this is is not true across the board, but too many times have I relied on your people to help me, look out for me, or care for me. This has only gotten me betrayal, lies, theft, and, in the end, heartbreak. I don’t blame your people for this, rather I blame myself for having trusted them and not the Person I truly work for. However, as of this day, that will no longer be the case. I will still treat your people with respect, kindness, and gentleness, as I always have. However, I will no longer put my any faith in them to look after my best interests, but rather in the One who truly does care for me.
