1.) I’ve been a Christian for 7 years, married for 5 1/2 years, and father for 1 1/2 years.

2.) My heroes are Ravi Zacharias, John Macarthur, and my father. Ravi because of his awesome passion for apologetics, and you gotta love the silky smooth voice. He’s the Barry White of apologists. John Macarthur for his unbelievable knowledge of scripture and a great way of making it relatable and applicable to the common person. I once went to Moody Bible Institute for founders week to listen to Macarthur speak. So we get there, get in our seats, and before he gets up there’s a musical group that does a couple worship songs. After they’re done, Macarthur gets up to the stage, and as he’s getting ready, he starts talking about the verse that the music group had based their last song after, giving the original greek meaning of a few words, talking about the context, etc. Off the top of his head! Amazing! And last, but certainly not least, my dad, for teaching me to be the loving, kind person that I try to be. Jesus once said to his disciple “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another,” (John 13:35) and my dad really lives this out everyday in the way he treats those around him. So, I try to emulate that as best I can! Thanks dad!

3.) I’m a huge video game and Dungeons and Dragons nerd. To this day I still enjoy an hour here or there of Neverwinter Nights (I or II). Really fun game

4.) My favorite book of the Bible is Ephesians. A few friends of mine and I really did a hardcore study of this book a few years back, and I always find myself leaning on it when pressed for biblical answers (I call it my crutch, which may or may not be a bad thing). It’s a great book, reads a lot like Romans but not as long. If you ever want a study that covers a lot of topics in a short time, give it a look.

5.) I’m a huge, HUGE White Sox fan and will never miss a chance to razz a Cub fan. In fact, if you’re a Cub fan, and you’re reading this right now, take a minute to examine the last 10-20 years of your life as a Cub fan. Now think about all those White Sox fans with championship hats, shirt, and/or coats. Wait, don’t hit the close button!

6.) Web Programmer by day, blogger by night. Or at least I play one on TV.

7.) Fairly good Scrabble and Settlers of Catan player. (Two of the things on my list are games. Is this good? Probably not.)

8.) Really enjoy Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, and Joe Satriani. Gotta love those 8-finger taps! “A Song for Life” is probably my favorite song right now. Check it out here .
